Biography
From home theatre in Saint-Petersburg to London's Master of Arts
Childhood.
When I was a child, I was talking and playing with fictional characters. Later, me and my sister were creating different performances like musicals, and vocal evenings. From seven, during my school time I started lessons at the music school in opera-singing workshops and at a dance-ballet school. I was excited because for me it was not just usual singing or dancing but times when I can open my heart and soul for everyone. Later I was inspired by films based on novels of Alexandre Dumas and engaged in fencing at the Olympic reserve sports school. This skill helped me later in fight scenes on stage. The years went by and my mother decided to send me to the Children's Opera Theatre, named by Galina Vishnevskaya. I had exciting experiences during these years. We had European tours and were participants in drama and singing festivals. That's one reason why I'm fond of travelling all over the world. During my tours I've understood that one of my goals is to study abroad and later move from country to country giving concerts or performances.
Teenage years and bachelor.
When I was in high school, I started my education in Cinema and Theatre school and took part in acting workshops ( with actors from MDT- theatre of Europe), and visited master classes in directing, scriptwriting, and editing. I knew that I wanted to be an actress and took a preparation course of acting in the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts. Finally, in 2015, I started the Bachelor in Drama Theatre and screen Acting at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, St.Petersburg. Our professor is a director of the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theatre- Maximov A.N , he is using the System of Stanislavsky in our educational process. I played different characters: Assunta in the play The Rose Tattoo by Tennessee Williams, Poleksena in play of Alexander Ostrovsky ''Truth is good, but happiness is better '' and some others. My professor says that I'm mostly a comedy actress, but I can also play tragedy as well.
About my international acting, projects, MA and future plans.
In the summer of 2017 I took a one month Acting for Screen Workshop in the New York Film Academy. I had the great acting teachers such as Peter Allen Stone and Anna Cianciulli, and I was communicating with creative and talented students there. I also was acting in short films from NYFA. I had a great experience of acting techniques on camera. Also, every day we had improvisation classes which helped me to be more confident and my imagination started working.
In summer of 2018 I was in Paris in Cours Florent- Acting workshop of Julian Eggerickx. We worked with the play ''Waiting for Godot'' by Samuel Beckett. It was something new for me. I was interested in working with contemporary drama and the unusual ways of performing it.
Since 2015 I have been acting in movies and advertisements. I think the main and great project was shooting in the historical movie ''Matilda'' by Alxey Uchitel where I was in one scene with Lars Eidinger,Thomas Ostermeier, and Ingeborga Dapkūnaitė. It was significant to be involved in this atmosphere at the beginning of 20th century and communicate with an international crew.
I have been living in the UK for 3 years. In october 2021 I finished my Master of Arts in Acting in University of East London. My tutors are Tom Drayton and Dominic Hingorani, who always supported and helped me with projects. The UEL is a new experience and it gives me creative freedom and new angles on the theatre. In June 2021 I presented my performance '7 letters of my life' as final video-project (due to Covid,I decided to do video) for my studies. I am excited about putting it on stage and performing as it was initially planned. Now, in London I am developing my acting career by taking part in different movies and TV series as well as working on my own creative projects.
Within last years I shared movie sets with a lot of incredible and authentic actors and actresses. I have worked in the projects with Ariana Grande, Halle Berry, Penn Badgley, Rosamund Pike, Jacob Elordi, Mark Wahlberg and others. It is always exciting to be a part of big productions.
In 2023 I relocated to Zurich and I am looking forward to continue my creative path there. In September 2023 I have performed in production of ZEST ' On the night side' in Theatre STOK.
My plans for 2024 would be to create my own theatre project and continue taking part in different shoots.
